Dogs for Sport
At KP7 we specialize in the sport of IGP, being mentored by current world champion Pierre Lamarie and his extra Igarki Tejerina.
We buy, select and breed dogs with the necessary instincts for these specimens to be successful in sport.
Alongside this, we also have experience in Obedience and Agility.
A
Tracking
The Tracking subject (Discipline A) assesses the olfactory ability of dogs, as well as their willingness to work in open fields, following the trail (the footprints) precisely left by a tracer and indicating various objects also left by the tracer along the route.
B
Obedience
The obedience discipline (Discipline B) assesses the dog's responsiveness in various situations, such as walking alongside, a series of changes in direction and speed, stops, distractions, calls, positions and passing through a group of people. There are also jump exercises with and without support, as well as object search exercises launched by the owner (Wooden Apport). The dog's attitude of permanent alertness, concentration, willingness to work and the harmony of the pair are also evaluated.
C
Protection
The Defense discipline (Discipline C) determines the dog's courage, self-confidence, agility and endurance, as well as its control by the handler. The exercises require the dog to look for a helper hidden in a shelter, bark when he finds him (thereby alerting his handler) and remain guarding him until the handler arrives.
